Discover How I Bought The Perfect Princess Cut Diamond Engagement Ring For
$1500 Below Retail Price.
Alright guys, I know how stressful it can be to try and find an
engagement ring for your woman. I just recently went through the same thing. Trying to find a great ring at a
great price on the internet.
I am going to keep this short and give you 2 pieces of advice. The first piece of
advice is for you to visit the largest and most reputable online jewelers that
specialises in high quality GIA Certified Diamonds.
These are reputable companies and they offer the best quality and the best prices. I have
made it easy for you and listed them on my web page which you can access here.
The next piece of advice is that you must absolutely spend at least 30 minutes reading
about the 4 C's of diamonds. This will give you an understanding of what type of diamond you want and how the 4 C's
determine the price of a diamond. You can also watch a FREE video I made about this subject here or click on the links to the left to learn more about the 4 C's.
Below you can read my story about how I researched and
bought my ring.
You finally made the commitment to propose to your girlfriend and hopefully you are very
excited about the whole thing. You are probably also stressed out and nervous about finding the right ring that she
will absolutely adore and you are also worried about paying to much for it.
These were just some of the thoughts racing through my head when I decided to go shopping
for a
princess cut engagement ring for my girlfriend. (now wife)
I knew I had to get her the perfect ring that her friends would envy. I also didn't
have a lot of money to spend on it so I started searching online and started going to local jewelry stores in the
hunt for the perfect ring.
What I found was just incredible. What I learned in the process was even more incredible and
interesting. You see all my life I knew nothing about diamonds. Most guys just go to the jewelry store and buy the
biggest princess cut engagement rings they can find for their budget.

This is
the total wrong way to go about buying an engagement ring.
I spoke to many high end Jewellers and they all told me the same thing. Rather
buy a good quality diamond than the biggest one you can afford.

A good quality diamond will out sparkle a
bigger, lower quality
diamond every time!
Now that I knew I had to look for a quality diamond rather than a bigger one
I set out online to find some of the best princess cut engagement rings. I wanted to find one that her friends
will envy and one that she could not take her eyes
off.
I ended up finding
one from one of the nation's largest wholesale GIA certified dealers in high quality, affordable diamonds and
engagement rings. The company is called James
Allen.
I went to their
website and they explained the 4 C' s of Diamonds. They educated me on the four C' s which
stands for:
|
Color - The most important aspect of a
diamond is it's color. Most diamonds have a lot of color in them which is a sign of their
impurities. Colorless diamonds are the rarest and highest quality. You can see a huge difference
between a colorless diamond and a diamond with color.
Cut - This also a very important
part of the diamond, If the cut isn't good then light will escape the spectrum when entering the
diamond and as a result you lose that shiny sparkle we are all after when buying a diamond. The
higher quality the cut, the better the diamond.
|
 |
Clarity- Diamond Clarity refers
to tiny imperfections of the diamond.
The higher the clarity
the better the diamond.
Carat - The carat refers to the size of the diamond. The
more carat it has the bigger the diamond.
On their website James
Allen does a great job of explaining these terms so that even I could
understand it. This is really interesting stuff.
Once I studied diamonds for about 30 minutes I knew that I was going to sacrifice size for a
better quality (almost flawless diamond) and I am so glad I did that. The cool thing about James Allen is
that you can choose your perfect diamond from thousands of diamonds, then you can choose your perfect matching ring
and setting.
You are literally building your own engagement ring.
First I sorted through a whole bunch of their GIA certified diamonds to find the perfect
one. I had a few questions and called up customer service. A well trained member of staff answered my call
immediately and answered all the questions I had. We also talked about princess cut engagement rings, financing
options etc.
I was still a bit nervous to buy an engagement ring online so the next day I walked into a
high end Jeweler store here in my town and asked the jeweler to show me a 1 carat, Color E , Ideal cut diamond
with a clarity of VS2.
He looked at me strangely and asked me to sit down. He went on for an hour about how nobody
ever asks him these type of questions an how impressed he was with my research etc.
He then said "I don't have a diamond like that in this
store"
You see the diamond I chose at James
Allen was a colorless E princess cut diamond. The best diamond he had in his
store was a color G. The other cool thing was that his G color stone was about $1500.00 more expensive than the E
color stone I could get through Blue Nile.
That's the difference between buying wholesale and retail.
It's also what made me decide to buy my ring through Blue Nile.
That night I chose a very pretty 14k white gold setting for the diamond. James Allen then
mounted the diamond on my chosen setting and Shipped it to me overnight at no charge.
After everything is said and done, If I hadn't done my due diligence before buying that
Ideal princess cut E color diamond I would have spend $1500.00 more for a diamond ring of worse quality at my
local jeweler.
I received my ring in the mail and It was really gorgeous. You can see by just looking at it
that this diamond is pure and of the highest
quality.
Even though I was a bit nervous with idea of buying princess cut engagement rings online, it
was well worth it.
I then proposed, she said YES and I then told her how I did my research and how she has a
flawless diamond with no color, ideal cut etc. She was so impressed and her face just lit up. She told her
friends and the compliments are still pouring in.
Trust me when I say, it is well worth researching diamonds a bit, buy a good quality diamond
and save a bunch of money.
